Drifz is a new line of custom rims designed to specifically cater to sport compact drivers who want to up their styling game in the wheels department. Those who own late-model European, Asian, JDM, and domestic sports machines will be particularly attracted to Drifz wheels. Overall, their wheel designs are modern, classy, and detailed, without appearing fussy or overly faddish. This makes them attractive-looking on a wider range of vehicles, while at the same time avoiding a trendy look that becomes out-of-date by the time your credit card statement is paid off.
Speaking of, you will find one of the most appealing aspects of Drifz wheels to be their pricing. You can easily spend a thousand dollars per wheel for some of the more outrageous designs on the market, but the folks at Drifz know their customers, and they know that what you want is value: style and quality at a price that won’t leave you broke. Most Drifz wheels can be purchased as a set of four without reaching the thousand-dollar mark, and that is an amazing accomplishment these days for a wheel company.
Drifz has begun using a new manufacturing process called Flow Forming Technology. Simply put, using extensive pressure and heat, a traditionally cast wheel is shaped by being stretched then compressed. Doing this results in a stronger wheel and has some similarity to a forging process, but without the high costs associated with forging. Wheels made with Flow Forming Technology are lighter, yet stronger and more tolerant of road shocks, making them excellent for aggressive street or track driving.
Now, Drifz wheels are not for everybody. You won’t find 22” wheels for low riders, or steelies for old-school American rods. Most of their models are made in 17” and 18” diameters, with widths ranging from 7” to 9.5”; a few wheels can be ordered in 20” sizes. Wheel finishes trend toward the popular silver, bronze, grey and black colors, in both glossy and matte. As we said earlier, the designs and colors go well with a wide assortment of popular compact and mid-size street machines.
You can purchase the Drifz wheels on their own and mount your own tires, or you can look into our convenient Wheel & Tire packages, which frankly is the way to go if you also need new rubber to go with your new rims. We include mounting and balancing at no extra charge, and perhaps best of all, once the tires arrive, you can install them on your ride yourself, using a floor jack and a lug wrench. Whichever way you go, Drifz wheels will seal the deal for upping the styling quotient on your car.
