Vertical Doors® - Lambo Door Conversion Kit

These are easy to install but take about a day 1/2 to install because all the front fenders and hood must come off and relief cuts in the back of the fenders for clearance of the hinges, the manufacturer surest greasing the hinges periodically but after the fenders are reinstalled there no way to access the zero fittings this only bad feature there is they should be made with sealed grease caps on all pivot joints

Took a little longer than expected for delivery but they finally came in. Me and my dad are going to be installing very soon! They look great. Everything is in the package and for the price I couldn't be happier!! Thanks CARiD.

Doors do not swing up to a 90 deg position, it's as pictured and it will only be 45 deg pitch, I believe I would prefer 60-80 deg pitch max. However it was easy to install, and the bolts line up to factory screw holes from the old hinges. I used the longer bolts that come with the kit for attaching the hinge to the apron, and the shorter bolts to attach to the door. (instructions don't mention where to actually use the included bolts) you'll also have to cut the inside of your fender for swing allowance and cut off the center fender hanger in the center of the apron as to allow the hinge to sit flush with the apron, both easy to do if you know how to use a cut off wheel. Install time was quick approx 1 hour. I like the hardened steel the manufacture used, and it is robust with a black finish. My other mention is the price, not that I'm a cheapo (I obviously bought a set), however, the product is really only worth half of what I've paid, a fair deal seems to me would have been $200 a hinge(400$ total). It would have also been nice for the manufacture to include another set of gas struts to perhaps allow a full 90 deg pitch or custom angle as the gas struts that come with the kit are short throws.. All that aside, it is a superior product that has room for improvement and will give you the instant Lambo Door gratification you're looking for in my opinion. Hope this helps if your thinking of purchasing. I've mounted mine on a 2002 Toyota Celica GTS.

Besides the lack of information that should be in the instructions only took about 8hrs to do with an experienced mechanic, set was easy. Once you actually figure out what you need do again, lack of information. Add more information in the instructions especially on set up and differences from a Canadian made Camaro to an American made Camaro. Nothing mention on needing to remove door panels. Nothing mention on needing to remove bumper or tires. Nothing mention on loosing up the lights to remove fender.

The Lambo Doors are everything I expected them to be. You have a great product. Is there any handled that can be purchased to assist with lifting them up instead of lifting them from the bottom of the door?

I have installed my hinges last weekend. I had planned on the project taking all week. Well, I started on the driver side and four hours later was turning the car around. I attempted to find someone who had done this before for advice with no luck. I am a mechanic by trade so tooling and manufacturing is what I do. So my advice is to not be afraid and over think it. Just take your time and keep all pieces organized as you tear down. Then going back together goes much faster. And be sure to cut enough off the fender closer to the top so the hinge does not interfere. I need to take a little more than I did. And after all, it is just a car and metal can be manipulated. The product: I am super impressed as to how beefy it is. 1/2 steel plate and on the mounting portions an additional 1/4 plate added to it. This thing is built tougher than my bumper on my Dodge truck.

Totally enhanced the look of my 2016 Hyundai Veloster. Not as easy as the guy in the video made it look to install. If your not mechanical take it to a body shop.Took me around 24 hours to complete. Only broke 2 clips and one scratch but that was my fault. Tape everything! The hinges are well made, powder coating would be nice. Definitely for show, not for practical use. You will loose about half of the doors opening. So if your a big guy you probably won't be happy, glad I'm skinny. All in all I'm happy with how it looks and you will definitely turn heads when the doors pop up.
