Product Details

RIDGE GRAPPLER Tires by NITTO®. Season: All Season. Type: Truck / SUV, All Terrain / Off Road / Mud. If you need tires that are capable of taking you over muddy, rocky, or other challenging terrain but don’t compromise on-road ride comfort and confident highway handling, Nitto Ridge Grapplers can meet your needs. Thanks to their dynamic hybrid tread pattern teamed with aggressive sidewall lugs, they are outstanding performers on the pavement and off it. In other words, they are more off-road oriented than most all-terrain tires but less aggressive than mud-terrain models. Ridge Grappler tires are available in a range of sizes to fit different pickup trucks and SUVs.

Nitto Ridge Grapplers have proven themselves as being the Swiss Army knife of tires. They're smooth cruisers on city streets and fearless warriors on rugged trails. How is that achieved? Their hybrid tread pattern, designed with some high-tech sound equipment, keeps things quiet and comfortable on highways. But when you're itching for some off-road action, those specially designed grooves, sidewall lugs, and step block edges provide uncompromised traction. No need to worry about little nuisances like stones either; Nitto's stone ejectors take care of that.

Enhancing the design of the tire is a reinforced base of tread blocks, which reduces block movement and deformation under various stresses that occur when you're accelerating, braking, or cornering. Less flex means added stability, improving tire performance and potentially lengthening its lifespan. Like other Grappler models, this tire boasts a dual sidewall design. Go with a classic pattern or an edgier, more aggressive block design – it's up to you!

Excellent tire! The NITTO Ridge Grappler 33X12.50R18 offers fantastic off-road traction and a comfortable ride on the highway. Its aggressive tread pattern looks great and performs even better. Highly recommend for anyone needing a versatile and durable tire.

Sierra's New Shoes Are Fire
NITTO® - RIDGE GRAPPLER
I'm glad I went for these. Look great on my Sierra, which is already a beauty. No complaints about how they handle the Atlanta rain. Quiet and smooth. I tow some pretty hefty loads, gonna see how that tread holds up over time. So far, no problem.

Great All-Rounder
NITTO® - RIDGE GRAPPLER
Running my second set of ridge grapplers. I got around 50k miles from the previous set. Smooth rides, noise is minimal up until 30k. They grip well on loose terrain, on dirt, on the rocks.

First Time Buyer
NITTO® - RIDGE GRAPPLER
Swapped mudders out of my Jeep for these about a month ago. On road comfort? The difference is like day and night! Quiet and smooth, they made my ride much more comfortable. I have not taken them off the pavement yet. Given they have an aggressive tread which looks very similar to mud tires, I guess they will work well.

Exactly What I needed
NITTO® - RIDGE GRAPPLER
Run these on my F150 for 15K miles already. I rotated them diligently every 5k miles and should say that there is still enough tread on them, so I guess I’ll get 20K more miles out of this set. As for traction, they are awesome. Once, I drove on the dirt road in rain and RGs managed to cope with that mess. On the road, traction is excellent, no vibrations, and very little noise. I am impressed so far.

Highly Recommend
NITTO® - RIDGE GRAPPLER
These plus a leveling kit made a world of difference in the look of my Ram. Just love their aggressive design! I was concerned how loud they would be with those large lugs and deep tread and hesitated about buying them. I’m glad that I gave them a try. The truth is that they aren’t noisy and are smooth which makes my ride comfortable.

Tough & Long-Lasting
NITTO® - RIDGE GRAPPLER
I have 20.000 miles and they look okay. Guess, I’ll get 20K miles more out of them without any issues. Pretty quiet and smooth ride for tires with such a bold tread pattern. One day, I hit a curb dead on at approximately 35 mph. Yes, my fault, but you know what? There are no signs of damage on my tires. They are definitely worth their money. I will be buying them again.

The Best Tires Out There
NITTO® - RIDGE GRAPPLER
Have had a set of RGs on my previous H1 and was very pleased with their look and performance on and off the paved road. Actually, I pushed them hard off road and they worked great in mud, sand, and rocks. I bought the Sierra 2500 this year for my job and am going to swap its stock at tires out for these hybrids. They will certainly be better for me because I’ll drive on nasty dirt roads whatever the weather.

275/65R18 On the Expedition
NITTO® - RIDGE GRAPPLER
I live in Illinois and needed tires which would perform well all year round in my changing climate. Nittos were a good choice. They provide great traction on the road even in rain and snow. Obviously some more tread noise in comparison to the street tires, but that’s ok for me. I decided to rotate them every 3,000 miles as some guys from the forum recommended and hope they will last long.

Question:
Do Nitto Ridge Grapplers ride smooth?
Posted by Customer / October 27, 2023
CARiD Answer:
Absolutely! One of the notable features of this tire model is its hybrid design, which allows for a quiet and comfortable ride on highways while maintaining off-road capability.

Question:
Are Ridge Grapplers better than KO2 in the rain?
Posted by Customer / October 23, 2023
CARiD Answer:
Both Ridge Grapplers and BFGoodrich KO2s are top-tier tires with proper wet traction. The performance in the rain can depend on specific sizes, tread wear, air pressure, and individual driving conditions. Ridge Grapplers, with their minimal siping, may provide slightly less wet traction than KO2s. Both are designed to perform well in wet conditions, but personal preference might sway one's choice.

Question:
When should I replace my Ridge Grappler tires?
Posted by Customer / October 13, 2023
CARiD Answer:
Replace them when the tread depth is 2/32 of an inch or less, or if you notice irregular wear, sidewall damage, or other signs of significant wear and tear.
Posted by CARiD Expert / October 13, 2023
Question:
Are Nitto Ridge Grappler Tires Directional?
Posted by Customer / December 08, 2022
CARiD Answer:
No, they aren't. They are non-directional radial tires, meaning they perform equally whatever their rotational direction.
Posted by CARiD Expert / December 08, 2022
Question:
How Many Ply Are Nitto Ridge Grapplers?
Posted by Customer / December 08, 2022
CARiD Answer:
Nitto offers the Ridge Grappler in two load ranges (ply ratings): E and F. The former is the equivalent of a 10-ply tire. 18-inch models and up are available with an F load range that corresponds to a 12-ply rating. Depending on the model, carrying capacity ranges from 2,271 pounds to 4,079 pounds per tire.
Posted by CARiD Expert / December 08, 2022
Question:
What is the difference between Ridge Grappler C and E?
Posted by Customer / October 25, 2023
CARiD Answer:
The primary difference lies in their load ranges. "C" typically indicates a 6-ply rating and is meant for lighter loads, while "E" indicates a 10-ply rating, designed for heavier loads, often used in 3/4-ton and 1-ton trucks.
Posted by CARiD Expert / October 25, 2023
Question:
How much tread does a Nitto Ridge Grappler have new?
Posted by Customer / October 18, 20232023 Ford F-250
CARiD Answer:
This varies by size and load rating. Typically, many new all-terrain tires start with a tread depth of 13/32 to 16/32 of an inch. Most Ridge Grapplers have from 13.5 32nds to 18.3 32nds. The brand's light truck models typically feature 16 32nds or 16.4 32nds, while 18 32nds and 18.3 32nds are common for off-road sizes.
Posted by CARiD Expert / October 18, 2023
Question:
Will a 33x12.5x18 of this tire fit okay? I have a 2010 dodge 1500 sport.
Posted by Customer / December 21, 20222010 Dodge Ram
CARiD Answer:
If your 2010 Ram 1500 is at factory height, it will be a tight fit and you will likely have some rubbing in tight turns, especially if off-road. Usually we would recommend this tire size with a leveling kit or small lift.
Posted by CARiD Expert / December 22, 2022
Question:
How Much Air Does the Nitto Ridge Grappler Need?
Posted by Customer / December 08, 20222022 GMC Sierra 2500
CARiD Answer:
Recommended tire pressure for the Ridge Grappler ranges from 44 psi to 80 psi depending on the load index of the model. Typically, you can find this information on the sidewall of a tire. For instance, 255/55R18 109T models with a load capacity of 2,271 lbs should be inflated up to the recommended 50 psi, while the larger LT265/60R20 121/118Q with a load capacity of 3,197 lbs should be inflated up to 80 psi.
Posted by CARiD Expert / December 08, 2022
Question:
Are Nitto Grapplers Snow Rated?
Posted by Customer / December 08, 20222021 Dodge Ram
CARiD Answer:
No, they aren't. However, most drivers who have run them in winter conditions have positive feedback about their performance on snow-covered roads.
